About Tanya Weinberger

Tanya has written, designed, animated and produced 24 films and videos that have appeared on Nickelodeon, HBO, Showtime, Disney Channel, MTV, Eureka's Castle, Calliope, BBC, and PBS.

Her productions have also been shown in museums including The Museum of Modern Art, The Osaka Museum of Computer Graphics, The George Eastman House, The Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and La Cinematheque Quebecoise. Animation Festival showings include Zagreb, Toronto, Ottawa, Los Angeles, Prague, Hiroshima, Siggraph, NCGA, Utreck, and Atlanta.

From her beginnings in the animation studios in Hollywood, Tanya moved to the art world of New York City as Production Designer of ARTFORUM Magazine, then on to sheep farming in Vermont for ten years, landing finally in Rochester, New York where she produced her animations, books, music, puppets, photography and paintings, with a little teaching on the side. She draws no line between work and play, applying her creative magic to entertainment, advertising, education and industry.

She now divides her time and creative energies in Florida between writing and illustrating books for children, and wandering the beautiful beaches of Florida hunting for shark teeth--while ideas for future projects continue to flood her ever animated and giggling brain.

Tanya is the published author of 14 books for children
