May Workshop

At the May workshop on May 27th, in the Upstairs Classroom at the Waldemere Fire Station from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Connie Burnett and Annette Coats will be teaching us the techniques associated with Contemporary European Encaustic Painting, the art of painting with molten wax by burning colored wax onto a non-absorbent surface.

 By Annette Coats using an Encaustic iron

Connie and Annette will provide:

​Irons
​Stylus
​Variety of colored bees wax
Non-absorbent cards
Clear acrylic spray
​Newsprint paper to protect the tables​
List of Vendors in US for supplies

The Materials fee is $15 which includes:

​Five bees wax blocks
Ten 4" x 6" photo cards (non-absorbent)

 You should bring:

​ Roll of paper towels
​ A few pieces of facial tissues (Kleenex) for final buffing
​Optional:  Apron
