WORKSHOPS: Workshops may be scheduled from
time to time.
PLAY-DAYS: Play-days will be held monthly on the last
Sunday of each month. The theme may or may not reflect the program/demo at the
previous meeting. Participants are welcome to work on any project they choose.
MEETING PROGRAMS: A program shall be a
part of each monthly meeting. The program will be scheduled by the Program
Chairman and may be one or a combination of a Lecture, Demonstration,
Hands-on-Participation, or Show and Tell. The Guild will give an honorarium to
invited teachers and lecturer of $30.00 for all meeting programs and lectures
unless otherwise contracted. A fee may be charged to the membership and/or
guests as appropriate.
DUES: Dues are $25.00 per member per
year. Dues will be prorated to $15 if a member joins after March
1.
MEMBERSHIP: On November 1, the Membership
Chairman will purge the membership file of nonmembers.
FEES: All
monies for workshops, demonstrations, or any other purpose, will be paid in
advance to the Treasurer.
RECIPROCITY: The Guild will maintain full
reciprocity with other surface design groups to the extent that they may attend
our meetings and/or workshops and we may attend theirs.
COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN: Committee Chairmen
will be appointed by the President with the exception of Program Chairman (a
co-chairman may be appointed by the Vice President with the approval of the
Board) and Membership Chairman (a co-chairman may be appointed by the Treasurer
with the approval of the Board). The Program and Membership Co-chairmen will not
be members of the Board.
VISITORS: Visitors are welcome and
encouraged to attend general meetings. After attending two meetings, guests are
asked to join the Guild. When there is a paid speaker or program with a fee,
visitors will be asked to make a monetary contribution as appropriate. Visitors
may attend workshops at a non-member price.
POLICY REVIEW: This
policy statement will be reviewed and updated periodically by the
Board.
