What is a Surface Design Play Day?

When:     Play Day is always on the last Sunday of the month.

Where:    Located in our meeting room upstairs at the Waldemere St Fire Station (in Sarasota, directly across from Sarasota Memorial Hospital, behind Wendy's. Turn East at the corner of Hwy 41 and Waldemere St and pull into Fire Station parking lot at 2070 Waldemere St.

Time:      We can be there from 1:00pm until 8:00pm

What:     When we have a program with a speaker at a monthly meeting and they have a workshop it is actually done at the play day that month. That allows our members to participate in a hands on experience of the techniques described by the program presenter. There is a non-member charge of $15 to participate as well as any workshop/material fees for the instructors.

Sometimes we just get together and everyone brings their own current project or new books to share if we aren't having a workshop. If you aren't doing the workshop you can always come and work on whatever you want. It's an opportunity for us to meet up again without the structure of a meeting so that we can discuss ideas, new techniques and get to know each other.
