                                Surface Design Guild Meeting

                                    6:30 pm at Firehouse

Kendra opened the meeting, welcoming guests.

She said that some people have already posted pix to the new web site. All current members are listed. There is a discussion forum. Kim urged people to check it daily, post information to it.

Nominating Committee & Election of New Board
The slate of officers was presented last month by the nominating committee:(which included Laura Reed, Cheryl Martin and Kendra Drobnak)

President: patsy monk
VP: Kim Sherrod
Secretary: Nancy Faris
Treasurer: Marcia Kaszuba.
A motion to accept the slate was made and seconded, and passed unanimously.

There was applause for the outgoing officers and thanks to the nominating committee.

Newsletter editor is an appointed position. Kendra will do it along with maintaining the web site:

Thanks to Anna Lenck for her years of newsletter and the old web site, which was the glue that held us together. 

Summer Break
There will be no regular meeting in July and August, but play days will continue. There will be a transition board meeting during the summer.

Program

Tonight’s program was presented by Kevin Tobin, an artist from Golden Paints. Kevin’s demo gave a taste of the varied products made by Golden, and a goody bag to play with at home as well. He will be giving a 5 hr workshop on 16-18 techniques using Golden products on June 27, 10-3, bring lunch, for a fee of $75. Kevin says that each participant will also take home a package of the products worth more than the $75 cost.

Our sales table, inspiration table, free stuff table and ATCs to be swapped were on display for all to enjoy.
